Human Resources Director

Responsibilities:
GENERAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Human Resources Director initiates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that aims to drive a high performance company culture that emphasizes on empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
• This management position is characterized by managerial responsibility for a department within Human Resources involving one or more of the following functions:
• Employee and Industrial Relations
• Compensation and Benefits Administration
• Performance Management and Systems Improvement
• Recruitment & Manpower Planning
• Training and Development
• Organizational Development
• Records Management and Manpower Monitoring
• Employment Terms & Legal Compliance
• Company Communication Programs
• Reviews, develops, and enhances program functions. The HR director controls the approved budget for the Department and it’s programs.
• Plans, develops, and implements the administrative and operational activities and staff of the Department. Plans, assigns, directs, reviews and evaluates work of staff, programs, and functions.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Duties and responsibilities include but is not limited to the following:
• Overseas the overall performance of the department and ensures that it is aligned with company standards.
• Ensures that all personnel action (for locals and expats), policies and practices reflect all applicable laws, regulations, and best practices and assures compliance with these policies and procedures. Develops and Implements discipline and termination procedures.
• Ensures that all programs, policies and developments are communicated to concerned employees.
• Provides assistance / consultation to other HR practitioners of affiliate companies.
• Provides assistance to and advises other managers about Human Resources Issues.
• Confers with Managers and responds to concerns of departments. Investigates and oversees the resolution of grievances and other types of complaints.
• Assesses, develops, coordinates, implements the company’s performance management system. Involved in determining compensation and benefits administration to all personnel.
• Assess short and long term training needs, evaluates training resources and determines whether in-house or external source is more appropriate and cost effective (with coordination with Department Heads).
• Represents the Company in relationships with service providers and suppliers (lawyers, insurance providers, manpower agencies, etc).
• Updates the Company about latest trends and best practices for people management. Stays abreast with emerging trends and innovation (software, research findings, etc) in order to successfully formulate long range policies and implement strategies and management guidelines.
• Plans and carries out company events (formal & informal), resolves glitches as they arise, integrates, and coordinates the work of others as necessary and ensures that the program meets established objectives. Develops and interprets rules, policies, procedures and employee organization agreements
• Ensures that all administrative concerns of the company are addressed. The candidate shall liaise concerns with providers and building admin personnel. The successful candidate shall handle Admin related concerns that fall in any or all of the following:
• Securing of Building, Sanitary, Fire, Mechanical, Electrical Permits (annually & as needed)
• Repairs and Maintenance of all areas, facilities and equipment owned by the Company
• All Non-life insurance coverage of the Company
• Fleet and Vehicle Management
• Purchasing and Inventory of Supplies
• Personnel and Facility Security
• Space Planning
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• High level of Personal and Professional Integrity.
• Self Motivated
• Broad knowledge and experience in employment laws and practices, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with other company Directors.
• Must have solid experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• The candidate must at least have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology or equivalent.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Must be wiling to handle Transactional HR functions whenever required or necessary.
• Must have negotiating skills with vendors, suppliers, and clients.
• Proven experience in Change Management.
